“Hi everyone! I am Ramesh Sharma from Jaipur, the ‘pink city’ of India. I come from a family of garment exporters. Since my school days, I have been fascinated with fashion and designs. After I completed my education, I joined my parents’ business. This gave me space to bring out my creativity and innovation in designing clothes. After learning the working structure for some years, I decided to venture on my own. I started my own company in 2000. Since then, it has made a name for itself in the list of top export houses in India. We are one of the leading sellers of ladies’ garments. Now I have my own company and team of workers. My brother also assists me in sampling and production.

“For an organized and smooth operation, we have divided our infrastructure into smaller divisions, i.e. sampling, cutting, stitching, thread cutting, finishing, inspection, packaging and trim & accessories. The wide experience of our team is combined with modem technology to develop a fine and completely satisfying range of products.

“We work with all sorts of fabrics like cotton, viscose, chiffon, georgette, lycra, silk and knits. Our patterns include tie-dyes, hand embroidery, machine embroidery, beadwork, kantha work, sequins, hand blocks, adda work, batik, prints, hand painting, patchwork, plain dyed, etc. Every style is optimized to improve productivity and meet delivery deadlines.

“Every person has different fashion sense and style, so it’s very challenging to create something which will suit all. We have to plan our collection according to latest trends of forecasting, as well as the requirements of our current clients.

“We have participated in many domestic fairs organized by the clothing manufacturers of India. We have also participated in Who’s Next (Paris), Sourcing Fair in Japan, Spain and Magic Las Vegas, USA.

“Our work is mostly labor intensive and employs huge amounts of labor. We help in creating employment for the people of our community. I dream of reaching the highest peak in fashion industry, and with NOVICA’s support I wish to accomplish my dreams by spreading my designs all over the world.”
